Dermoscopy is the close-up examination of the skin using a specialised microscope (a dermatoscope).

The device is critical in determining suspicious from benign lesions on the foot and can inform whether onward referral is indicated. 

Felicity regularly undertakes further training in dermatology and dermoscopy and has a top of the range dermatoscope she uses in clinic.

 

Photos can be taken and applied to your electronic record for surveillance and/or sent with a referral to your GP or dermatologist.
